How to Measure
It is very important that proper measurements be taken before a gown is ordered. We recommend you have someone help you with your measurements to ensure they are accurate. Measurements should be taken in the undergarment you plan to wear (fitting bra and underwear and/or slip) with your bridal gown or bridesmaid dress. Please use our guidelines below to help to assess your measurements and compare your measurements to our size chart. If you find you do not fit into any size category and would like us to customize the dress to your measurements please email us 300dresses@yahoo.com.
Bust Measurement
Measure the bustline at the fullest part of your chest. Stand straight with your arms by your side and heels touching. Position the tape so it covers the widest part of the back and the fullest part of your chest.
Waist Measurement
Place your hands at your natural waistline. This is where the tape should be positioned. Wrap the measuring tape around your waistline, leave a little room and keep your thumb on the inside of the tape. Do not pull the tape too tight as you want to leave a little room.
Hip Measurement
To properly measure your hip, go around the fullest part of your buttocks, about 7-9 inches below your belly button and leave a little room; do not pull the tape too tight.
Dress Length
Hollow-to-hem is a specific length measurement used for wedding dresses and long bridesmaid dresses. Most dresses are 61 inches in length. If you would like the dress longer or shorter please let us know. When measuring for length please wear the shoes you plan to wear for your wedding or shoes that will be similar in height. If you customize the length give yourself at least an extra inch or more as the dress will pull up when you are wearing it. We strongly recommend you contact a professional seamstress experienced with bridal gowns to help assist you with any alternations you may need.
